Who I Am
I'm Christopher Lim, a lifelong learner, builder, and family man. I've spent almost a decade immersed in software, QA, and startup projects, helping ideas grow into products. I care deeply about quality, creativity, and making tech approachable for everyone.
My Journey
My journey began in healthcare, but I quickly found my passion for technology. I made the leap from QA and test automation into Ruby on Rails and product development. Along the way, I've:
- Managed complex software projects from conception to deployment
- Built full-stack web applications with Ruby on Rails
- Shipped web and mobile apps with Hotwire, Hotwire Native, Swift and Kotlin
- Released Mystic Archipelago, an idle RPG made with RPG Maker, on Steam
- Launched Daily Rosary, a prayer app for iOS and Android
- Launched side projects and learned from failures and successes
- Discovered the importance of clear communication and continuous improvement
Each step has taught me that the best software comes from understanding both the technical challenges and the human needs behind every project.
How I Work Today
AI is now part of how I do my work across projects. Claude Code sits next to Jira and Docker in my daily workflow, on top of a stack of Ruby on Rails, Hotwire and Hotwire Native, with Swift on iOS and Kotlin on Android.
Away from client work I make games as Clim-bot. I'm building Barrio San Isidro, a farming game in Godot set in the Philippines of 1868, and recording a devlog on YouTube as each feature goes in.
